Hello
Space: the final frontier
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before!
What to even say about Star Trek. Friends of mine had recommended it to me years ago, and it took me too long to start getting into it.
In November 2024, my partner and I put on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan since it was a nostalgic movie for him. Little did I know that I would fall in love with Star Trek. After watching all 6 of the orignal-cast movies, we began watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think we'll go back and watch the Original Series at some point, even though we skipped it for now.
Star Trek: The Next Generation is an incredible show. It's amazing how well it holds up more than 35 years later. We watched TNG from November 2024 to February 2026, and I was so sad when we finished it. The cast is so good and I love them! Data is one of my favorites :)

As of April 2026, my partner and I are watching Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and we're on season 2, so we have quite a bit more to get through.
So far, I like DS9, but I think the cast dynamics are better in TNG. I keep hearing how DS9 is people's favorite, so I'm excited to continue watching it!
Honestly, I don't know! Maybe a list of my favorite episodes and photo dumps of my favorite stuff. I'll maybe add quotes I like as I encounter them. We'll see how this page grows :)

Star Trek: Deep Space 9
S01E03 Past Prologue I actually don't remember this episode??
S01E04 A Man Alone Leave my boy Odo alone! Didn't like how mean people were to Odo, but the episode itself was fine.
S01E05 Babel Weird episode. It was fine I guess, just like an adventure of the week episode that doesn't really matter.
S01E06 Captive Pursuit Loved this episode. Justice for Tosk!
S01E07 Q-Less I'm so sad this is the appearance of Q. He plays a lovestruck teenager essentially. Kinda lame. He's way more interesting than this episode portrays.
S01E08 Dax You can tell they were trying to emulate the TNG Data trial episode, but for a Dax-centric episode, she really didn't have much to contribute. Trill information is good I guess, but it's not consistent with later episodes. Big miss for me.
S01E09 The Passenger So bad it's not even comical. What happened to Alexander Siddig to deliver those lines so stiltingly bad??
S01E10 Move Along Home I didn't like this episode, I thought it was booty. Terrible way for a species to introduce themselves.
S01E11 The Nagus This episode spawned a fun joke about switching the Rules of Acquisition a la Princess Bride. The Nagus's son and Rom are idiots in this one, but it's fun. Interesting to see more about Ferengi society.
S01E12 Vortex This episode made me a bit sad. Seeing Odo's hope go up about information about his people. I thought it gave him an interesting moral dilemma. Good episode.
S01E13 Battle Lines Interesting technology introduced here, plus Grandpa Mike from Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul makes an appearance, so that's cool! RIP (or not RIP?) to Kai Opaka. Ok episode for me.
S01E14 The Storyteller I didn't like this episode. The premise felt so silly, I can't really believe all those Bajorans would accept O'Brien as their savior so quickly.
S01E15 Progress Felt sad for the guy who had to lose his home. Interesting episode where Kira goes against what's the "right" thing for what she thinks is right. Ok episode for me.
S01E16 If Wishes Were Horses This episode was fine. Aliens causing ruckus seems to be the norm.
S01E17 The Forsaken I am not a fan of Lwaxana, but I didn't dislike her in this episode. She would have a crush on Odo, I'm not surprised lol. Didn't really care for the puppy program they ended up keeping in some corner of their server.
S01E18 Dramatis Personae This episode was fine. I like Odo in this. The power struggle between everyone was strange to me, even though it was due to old ass aliens.
S01E19 Duet This episode is changing my mind about DS9. I know first seasons of Star Trek are rough, but if this is the kind of writing and worldbuilding we're gonna get, I'm looking forward to it. This was a fascinating and heartbreaking episode.
S01E20 In the Hands of the Prophets Vedek Winn's actress is incredible because I hate her. I love that Keiko stands her ground, this was a good episode.
S02E01 The Homecoming, 02 The Circle, 03 The Siege Star Trek's first 3 part episode I've seen. This was a great storyline and the dialogue was so snappy and fun. I'm not sure if the writers changed between seasons, but what a phenomenal start to the season.
S02E04 Invasive Procedures A Dax-centric episode where Jadzia isn't really the main player. Didn't love this episode.
S02E05 Cardassians Garak is a strange guy, don't know what side he's on other than his own. Interesting character. Didn't really like how this one ended, with Rugal being removed from everything he knew to go live with his Cardassian father. Yikes.
S02E06 Melora Hated this episode so hard, it felt SO cringe. Sorry, I'm not a Bashir fan as of right now.
S02E07 Rules of Acquisition So curious about the Dominion! I'm sure we'll learn more. Got some information on what Ferengi women are like and they are uhhh. Not treated well. Justice for Pel.
S02E08 Necessary Evil Fun noir inspired episode. Rom was great in it, my partner and I do his funny little scream when he saves Quark from being killed at the end all the time.
S02E09 Second Sight Hated this episode. I don't think there was really a point to such a short-lived Sisko love-interest. The scientist was super arrogant too, RIP I guess?
S02E10 Sanctuary Flaky folks are not finding a home on Bajor. I'm with the Bajorans on this one.
S02E11 Rivals Weird and fun little episode. Love that Martus Mazur was getting conned himself.
S02E12 The Alternate I love Odo episodes, and I'd love to learn more about him and his people. Daddy issues in this episode. Poor Odo had to lose control to be heard :(
S02E13 Armageddon Game So funny how O'Brien doesn't like Bashir, but it's so one-sided. Interesting episode, though I feel like the Kellerun and T'lani made dumb choices. Also didn't like how Keiko's contribution ("Miles doesn't drink coffee in the afternoon!") was downplayed at the end ("Yes I do!").
S02E14 Whispers I hated how nonchalant everyone felt in this episode. It made sense by the end, but O'Brien was thought to be dead last episode and Keiko didn't show any of that this episode? Makes me feel this episode was moved from somewhere else in the season. Plus the replicant technology seems like a huge deal to me but not to the show??
S02E15 Paradise This episode was wild!!! I was so shook with the cult and Commander Sisko. This lady needs a reality check. Finished the episode with my eyes wide and jaw dropped. Third O'Brien-forward episode in a row is a little weird.
S02E16 Shadowplay Instantly recognized the little girl in this episode from an episode of TNG, Imaginary Friend. Cute! The episode was interesting, I like the questions brought up about life and what it means.
S02E17 Playing God Okay episode. Nice to get more insight into Trills and Dax's personality. The proto-universe felt like too big of an issue to be relegated to a B-plot!
S02E18 Profit and Loss This was a weird episode, I couldn't really believe that Quark would give everything up for someone he was with 7 years ago for 1 month. It kinda stands against what Ferengis are. Really cool to learn there are Cardassian rebels though.
S02E20 The Maquis, Part 1 The writing in this episode was really good. I was stunned by how tense it was to have Commander Sisko and Gul Dukat staring at a screen and seeing just the icons of ships shooting at each other. This episode did one-on-one dialogue very well.
S02E21 The Maquis, Part 2 This isn't the first time I'm feeling this, but this episode really highlights the difference in tone between a hopeful TNG and a on-the-brink-of-war DS9. Also very impressed with Quark and his price of peace speech to Sakonna.
S02E22 The Wire Garak episodes are fascinating. Every story is true. Even the lies? Especially the lies. I enjoyed this episode.
S02E23 Crossover I LOVE time travel and parallel universes, so this episode was right up my alley. It's so funny that evil Kira wears black latex, gotta show how evil she is! Great episode, super interesting. Had a lot of fun. Makes me wanba watch TOS so I know what they're talking about.
S02E24 The Collaborator Vedek Winn is back and I still hate her! This episode was basically the Trolley Problem. Good episode.

Live long and prosper.
